Dog owners can’t resist buying their dogs a toy now and again, and the stores certainly provide a wide variety to choose from. Dog owners tend to think of their dogs as children, referring to them as “baby,” - or themselves as “Mommy” or “Daddy” when talking to their dogs. And, of course, they buy their dogs toys to play with.
Your puppy has to have confidence in you before he can begin learning. Remember that puppies are like children - they have growing bodies, short attention spans, and will only learn things when the conditions are right and when they understand what it is you’re trying to teach them.

Just like with toys given to children at Christmas time, you might want to rotate the toys your puppy has access to at any one time. Too many toys all at once can be overwhelming to your puppy. Rotating through the toys can help keep your puppy from becoming bored with his toys.
Your puppy’s crate should be big enough that he can stand and turn around in it even when he is full-grown. But don’t make it so big, he can sleep on one end and pee on the other. This is where it might be better if you can buy two kennels, one for when he is a puppy and one for the adult dog.
Our list begins with dog bedding. This can be a pillow, blanket or a special mat. Some dog trainers believe the best is a doggie mat or pillow stuffed with a combination of fiberfill and cedar chips. The cover should be removable and washable.
Just like our own babies and toddlers, puppies are very curious creatures. They can and will get into everything. You probably know how a human baby seems to put everything they find into their mouths and they have hands. A puppy puts everything into its mouth as well. It’s part of how they discover the world around them.
